Acquired in the 1990s, our Minehead branch on Holloway Street took over from respected local monumental sculptor A. Smith, preserving a century-old tradition of hand-crafted memorials for West Somerset and Exmoor families. This seamless transition ensured Minehead’s heritage of bespoke headstones and gravestones continued without interruption, blending A. Smith’s established reputation with Fine Memorials’ family ethos.
Pam Lazowski’s remarkable 32-year dedication (retired 2018) exemplified the caring, personal service that has defined us here – from inscribing granite memorials resilient to coastal winds to restoring sea-weathered plaques at St Decuman’s Churchyard and Minehead Cemetery.
